Yinson Production Ghana has successfully conducted its fourth annual STEM Training for Teachers, reinforcing its long-term commitment to strengthening Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. This year’s programme brought together 100 teachers from 84 schools and focused on building practical competencies to enhance STEM instruction in the classroom.

Participants engaged in structured, hands-on sessions using voltmeters, ammeters, connecting wires, bulbs, batteries, and battery cages to deepen their understanding of electrical circuits and electronics fundamentals. A key component of the programme was a science project on automotive motion light, which introduced basic concepts in electronics and robotics through the use of sensors, relays, bulbs, and wiring assemblies. This project equipped teachers with the skills required to replicate similar STEM activities in their schools, fostering experiential learning and innovation among students.

The STEM Training for Teachers forms part of Yinson Production Ghana’s broader educational initiatives, which include programmes such as STEM for Girls. In January 2026, they will further expand its support for STEM development with the commissioning of a state-of-the-art science laboratory within the Ahanta West municipality.
