Yinson Production West Africa Limited (“YPWAL”) has recently donated 6,000 pieces of surgical face mask to Ghana’s National Commission for Civic Education after receiving a total of 10,000 units as part of Yinson’s CSR initiative in the battle against Covid-19. The items were handed over by Edward Mensah and Pearl Hasford at the Commission, with the chairperson, Ms Josephine Nkrumah also present alongside her two deputy Commissioners.
Ghana’s National Commission for Civic Education works to promote and sustain democracy and inculcate in the Ghanaian citizenry the awareness of their rights and obligations through civic education. During this challenging time, the Commission has been all over the country to educate the Ghanaian citizenry on all matters related to Covid-19. Latest series of investigations has shown that the Commission is ill-equipped with such vital supplies.
On top of that, YPWAL has distributed 3,100 pieces of surgical face mask to its staff. This has demonstrated that the health of Yinsonites in Ghana is valued and prioritised. Another 900 pieces were shared with the staff of OMA Ghana, Yinson’s JV Partner in Ghana.
