Yinson Singapore was privileged to host 18 guests from 12 Norway-based energy industry companies, which were in Singapore in conjunction with the Singapore Offshore and Shipyard Roadshow 2019.
The visit was arranged by roadshow organizer Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP). During the visit, presentations were made by both Yinson and combined presentation by the visiting industry companies.
Spanning five days from 7th to 11th October, the roadshow connects Norway-based energy industry suppliers with decision makers, project managers, technical managers and procurement managers in leading Singapore shipyards and engineering companies.
“It is true when they say that a strong supplier relationship is crucial for the success of a business. Understanding the weight of this, Yinson will always appreciate the comradery it has with its suppliers. If it were not for them, who have always been supportive and like-minded in every aspect of our business, we would not have achieved what we have today”, said Yinson’s Senior Vice President Projects & Controls Offshore Production, Laurence Shepherd. He added that at least half of the companies that participated in the visit had contributed significantly to the success of Yinson’s previous projects.
The participating companies included FPE Sontum AS Stravanger, Firesafe Energy, Armatec, ABB, Axess, Offshore & Trawl Supply AS, IKM Testing Asia Pte Ltd, Light Structures AS, Glamox, PSW Group, Autronica Fire & Security, Shipyards Singapore and China, Autronica, Delta-p Pumpe og Kompressorsystemer AS accompanied by Innovation Norway / Norwegian Energy Partners.
