Yinson Production Ghana has commissioned a fully constructed and furnished kindergarten block in its host community of Kejebril and expanded its scholarship programme, helping the municipality support young people at different stages of their education.

The kindergarten provides a dedicated, child-friendly learning environment for children beginning their formal education. Fully furnished and ready for use, the facility supports the community’s early childhood education needs.

Alongside the kindergarten project, Yinson Production Ghana has awarded scholarships to an additional 50 Senior High School students and 20 undergraduate students. This brings the total number of beneficiaries under the programme to 200.

The scholarships help reduce financial barriers that can prevent students from continuing their studies. For Rebecca Cudjoe, one of the newly selected undergraduate beneficiaries, the support means being able to pursue university education after spending a year at home because of financial constraints. She hopes to become a chemical engineer.

Edward Mensah, CSR & Local Content Manager, explained that the company’s approach is to support young people from kindergarten through Senior High School and university, helping them build knowledge and skills for their future.

These initiatives build on Yinson Production Ghana’s earlier support for education, including the provision of computer and science laboratories to strengthen teaching and practical learning.

By supporting both educational facilities and access to further study, Yinson Production Ghana is helping address local education needs and create opportunities for young people in its host communities.
