Yinson Production Ghana, in collaboration with the Youth Bridge Foundation, hosted its second annual STEM clinic for 500 girls aged 12-16 from Ahanta West Municipality. Selected by their teachers for their interest in STEM, the students received hands-on exposure to scientific equipment, an exciting first for many.
Stephanie Nyarko, 15, from Agona Nkwanta Girls Model School, said, “Apart from the funnel, I have never set my eyes on any of the science equipment.”
Yinson’s representatives, including Tabitha Owusu Amponsah, Juliana Aidoo, James Rhule, Wisdom Adjah, and Edward Mensah, guided the students through interactive experiments designed to inspire them toward STEM careers.
Edward Mensah, Yinson’s CSR Coordinator, said, “This initiative supports our commitment to gender equality and quality education by empowering girls to pursue STEM fields.”
