Over the recent festive season, the Yinson Nigeria office brought cheer to three orphanages in Rivers State, Nigeria, where our Port Harcourt office is located.

Representatives from the office visited De Marillac Centre (Hope for Street Children), Port Harcourt Children’s Home and Mercy & Praise Orphanage, bearing food items and supplies to celebrate Christmas with the children. The assistance, totalling a value of USD7,300, consisted of staple foods, toiletries, and deep freezers.

Yinson Nigeria Managing Director, Judith Okonta commented “Yinson is committed to creating positive social impact and shared value with our host communities. We hope that the assistance will relieve some of the catering pressure faced by the orphanages during the festive period and beyond”.

It is estimated that Yinson’s effort will directly impact more than 200 orphaned and vulnerable children. The assistance will support the provision of the basic requirements of the orphanages, we look forward to working with them in the future to further address the needs of the resident children.
