Yinson Miri office sponsored a dive clean up, dubbed the ‘Operation Barracuda’, focused on removing ghost nets in and around the Barracuda Point dive site in Sarawak, Malaysia.

During the expedition, Yinson, along with volunteer divers from Miri Divers, Future Ocean Borneo and Lions Club of Miri Centennial successfully removed drifting plastic waste and an abandoned mooring line.

The plastic waste and abandoned fishing or vessel equipment in the sea are hurting the marine environment, adversely impacting the fish stock and also posing danger to other vessels.
