Yinson participated as an exhibitor in this year’s 27th edition of the Africa Oil Week (“AOW”) held at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
This was Yinson’s fifth participation on AOW, a global platform that brought together Africa’s government bodies, national oil companies, investors, licensing agencies and corporate oil and gas players for potential partnerships and transactions across the African Upstream. Themed, ‘Powering the Sustainable Future of the African Upstream’, the four-day event ran from 8th to 11th November 2021.
According to Chief Executive Officer, Offshore Production, Flemming Grønnegaard, “The global oil and gas sector has seen unprecedented volatility since 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. But, as the global economy stabilises, we are witnessing a recovery. Alongside this global recovery, the extensive economic transformation in Africa makes this region an exciting market for new projects and investments. We are pleased for the chance to connect with our valued stakeholders through AOW so that we can support each others’ growth to greater heights.”
Adding on, Senior Vice President, Business Development of Yinson Production AS, Jahn Atle Høgberg said, “Africa Oil Week is the most premier business platform for Africa’s oil and gas sector. Our participation in the event presented the perfect opportunity for us to network and meet like-minded potential clients, investors, partners and forge closer ties with Africa’s government bodies in the oil and gas industry. Our participation in this year’s instalment of the exhibition has been very fruitful.”
This year’s instalment of the exhibition saw the participation of over 1,500 delegates from all over the world, including over 30 heads of government departments from Africa and the Middle East as well as high-level executives from some of the biggest global oil and gas companies.
