In the Ahanta West Municipality of Ghana, hundreds of children are gaining access to digital skills that are equipping them for the future —through Yinson Ghana’s digital literacy initiative.
We have provided four fully equipped computer labs, with a fifth on the way, providing students aged 6 to 15 with access to digital tools and ICT education. To support effective learning, we have also equipped ICT teachers with laptops, and conduct regular training sessions led by our IT team.
It is the stories that we hear from the ground that have made these efforts most meaningful. In one story, a parent, who delivers water from a small truck, shared with pride that his daughter was the best student and scored Grade 1 in ICT. She later received a scholarship through our Yinson Scholars Programme, and is now studying in one of the best schools in Ghana.
