Yinson is honoured to be part of this year’s instalment of the premier FPSO World Congress. The event took place from 10th to 11th September 2019 at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore, and saw the attendance of over 20 Yinson employees from across our offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Norway and Ghana.
Themed ‘Integrating Innovation with Cost Discipline to Ensure Project Profitability and Business Sustainability’, the congress, now in its 20th year, saw FPSO industry professionals from across the globe gathering to discuss the importance of moving forward and upwards as an industry amidst positive market sentiments and the gradual stabilisation of oil prices.
Yinson Production Chief Executive Officer Eirik Barclay delivered the event’s keynote speech, titled ‘State of the FPSO Nation’, where he discussed offshore E&P (i.e. exploration and production) developments and opportunities for the international FPSO market, and driving cost competitiveness through innovation and collaboration across the FPSO value chain.
On top of that, Yinson Production Project Manager – FPSO & Production Units Filipe Costa took part in the Plenary Roundtable discussion on the topic of ‘Ensuring Effective FEED: 5 Key Criteria to Ensure that You Are Ready for FID’, while Yinson Production Vice President – Project Services Kevin Tan chaired the discussions on FPSO Supply Chain and Procurement during the conference.
