On 26th August, our Singapore office organised a waterway cleanup and kayaking adventure at the Kallang Riverside, in collaboration with the Waterways Watch Society.
Twenty-two participants from various departments, including some from our head office in KL, came together to make a positive impact. The event focused on cleaning up the Kallang River, starting with a safety briefing and kayaking technique orientation.
Armed with buckets and determination, participants set out in their kayaks with a clear mission: to remove debris and litter from both the water and surrounding banks.
Together, we collected an impressive 14kg of waste, showcasing the power of collective action in environmental conservation.
One of the participants, Fai Ratanavaraha, CMS specialist said, “The activity left me feeling really energised and refreshed! I was most moved by the strong sense of teamwork when everyone was helping each other clear up the trash. We took our kayak boat, paddles, pails and gloves to the return point feeling fulfilled, even though it was a physically tiring activity. I loved being part of making a difference in our environment and look forward to doing more with the Yinson Production family!”
This achievement underscores the importance of individual and collective efforts in protecting our environment. This event is part of Yinson’s ongoing commitment to embedding environmental responsibility into our culture.
We look forward to organising more activities that align with our sustainability goals and foster a collaborative work environment. We encourage others to join us in making a difference by organising a clean-up event or participating in a local initiative. Every small action counts, and together, we can create a significant impact!
