We are pleased to report that our construction of a 1,000 seater assembly hall in the Nkroful Agricultural Secondary School (NASS) in Western Ghana has been successfully completed. Yinson Hall was officially opened in March 2018 with a vibrant ceremony attended by officials and locals from near and far.
The opening was officiated by Member of Parliament for Ellembelle Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, who graced the occasion together with other distinguished guests including District Chief Executive for Ellembelle Mr Kwasi Bonzo and Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission Mr Egbert Faibille Jnr.
The hall is equipped with audio visual equipment, ceiling fans, a public address system, projector, standby generator, borehole and water storage tank. It serves the town village of Nkroful and its surrounds as an educational resource centre, and is one of several community projects in the Western region of Ghana provided by Yinson.
Yinson’s Country Director Mr Ari Lehtonen expressed his hope that the ties between Yinson and the communities would continue to deepen.
“We have provided this assembly hall as a gift to the Ellembelle community with the objective that it would be used as one of the biggest educational and recreational centres for all of the oil and gas enclave in this part of the Western Region,” he said.
He added that Yinson’s FPSO John Agyekum Kufour was moored about 60km offshore Sanzule, which is in the Ellembelle District with Nkroful as its capital.
