Three years have passed since FPSO John Agyekum Kufuor (“FPSO JAK”) got its first droplets of oil into her tanks!

On 20 May 2017, Yinson celebrated the momentous achievement of first oil for FPSO JAK. This was achieved well ahead of schedule, and made possible through strong teamwork and with the invaluable support from our client ENI and our subcontractors.

FPSO JAK has since produced and exported over 40 million barrels of oil, and delivered gas for the local energy grid in Ghana at rates up to 220 MMSCFD with excellent HSE performance and an average technical uptime of 99.8% since commencement.

Our Ghana onshore and offshore organisation has grown in strength and capacity, and we are proud of our skilled Ghanaian employees and in the contribution made in developing communities in Ghana through the Yinson CSR projects. Yinson will continue being a reliable provider to Ghana’s energy infrastructure and local communities for many years to come.
