On 18 November 2020, Yinson achieved another year without Lost Time Injury (LTI) for FPSO Adoon, making it 9 years to date.

This celebratory milestone reflects Yinson’s commitment to creating a work environment that is efficient, productive and most importantly, safe for its crew whilst ensuring that the vessel’s performance is always running at its optimal capacity.

Commenting on FPSO Adoon’s achievement, Operations Manager for Nigeria, Cai Pedersen said, “At Yinson, we have established a strong culture in always placing the safety and well-being of our employees as the highest priority. Our safety culture supported by policies, procedures and checklists are tools to guide us through our work to minimize risk for human failures. This is the foundation for everything we do in Operations and the key to our enduring consistency in maintaining close to 100% uptime since our commencement over 14 years ago.”

“To ensure zero LTI, it all boils down to each individual’s attitude and competency in not only performing their duties, but to do so in a safe way. In Yinson Operations, all work starts with an assessment on how it can be done in a safe way – and the understanding that all of us can and will stop work if conditions are not safe to proceed. I am proud of the team for always placing safety first,” he said.

Offshore Production Chief Executive Officer Flemming Grønnegaard also congratulated the team and attributed the achievement to the amazing teamwork and application of Yinson’s Core Values in all stages of work as demonstrated by all involved.

“Congratulations to the team. Special thanks and appreciation to everyone for their diligence in performing each of their roles in a safe and efficient way. Such a feat would not be possible without the guidance of our Core Values and I am happy to see the team applying our Values – of being Reliable, Open, Adaptable, Decisive and Sustainable – in their work, especially in maintaining excellent safety culture. I am proud of what you have achieved together as a team for FPSO Adoon,” he said.

FPSO Adoon is currently operating in Block OML 123, Nigeria.
