As part of World Malaria Day 2026 activities, Yinson Production Ghana carried out several community initiatives in Dixcove, Ghana, focused on promoting malaria awareness and supporting local healthcare efforts.

The initiatives included the renovation of the male and female wards at Nana Hema Dekyi Government Hospital in Dixcove, helping to improve the environment for patients and healthcare workers.

Speaking during the event, Edward Mensah shared that the project was based on needs identified within the community. He also noted that the initiative builds on Yinson Production Ghana’s World Malaria Day 2025 efforts in Agona, where medical equipment was donated to support malaria treatment services.

Yinson Production Ghana also organised a 5km fun run involving Junior High School students to encourage healthy living and raise awareness about malaria prevention. Five students received tablets in recognition of their participation and commitment.

Students further pledged to support malaria prevention efforts within their homes and communities through a footprint pledge activity facilitated by Yinson Production.

Healthcare professionals also shared reminders on the importance of early malaria testing, completing prescribed medication, maintaining clean surroundings, and consistently using mosquito nets.

Yinson Production Ghana extends its appreciation to all employees and volunteers who contributed their time and effort towards making the initiative a success.
