Yinson Production Ghana has awarded scholarships to 50 new students from Ahanta West in Ghana’s Western Region, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 165 since the programme’s inception in 2019.Â
The initiative supports promising students who have excelled in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) despite facing financial and personal hardships. Many recipients come from underprivileged communities, with some raised by single parents or as orphans.Â
Each student receives a comprehensive package including school supplies, a trunk, chop box, mattress, pillow, calculator, exercise books, provisions, and a stipend to support their first semester. The assistance is designed to ease their transition into senior high school and enable them to concentrate fully on their studies.Â
This programme forms part of Yinson Production’s commitment to community empowerment through education. By investing in the academic development of young Ghanaians, Yinson Production aims to create sustainable opportunities and foster long-term positive impact.Â
Yinson Production remains optimistic that many of these students will go on to excel in their final examinations and qualify for the company’s undergraduate scholarship scheme in the future.Â
